Our wellness centre in Ubud opened in 2004, and was the first COMO Shambhala location in Bali. COMO Shambhala Uma Ubud overlooks the Tjampuhan Valley and River Oos and is surrounded by hillsides of coconut palms and banyan trees. We also have an open-air yoga pavilion, a gym and a 25-metre outdoor pool at the heart of the resort.
COMO Shambhala Uma Ubud's design is clean and simple, with the lobby, pool and bar at its open-spaced heart. This openness contrasts beautifully with the narrow paths that run between tall, lushly-planted walls. Interiors were originally designed by Japanese designer, Koichiro Ikebuchi and completely refurbished by Bali-based designer, Maximilian Jencquel, to feel like those of a rural hillside home.
